Hatcheries are the lifeblood of commercial farming in general.
FWC had set up hatcheries as early as a year before the opening of commercial farms, a shortage of craylings in current market causing less effort to commercialize freshwater lobster farming.
LAT’s craylings naturally have high cannibalism instinct before reaching size of 3″ or 3 months. This makes hatching process quite difficult with high densities.
With the study that has been conducted along with the trials of several SOPs, FWC has successfully conducted systematic seeding.
